St Olcan's Parish Centre
St Olcan's Parish Centre was opened in September 2011. Within this short time it has been fully utilised by various groups within the parish and for the provision of refreshments after funerals.
The centre is designed and built to a very high specification and can cater for 300 people in 'concert' seating and 200 people 'table' seated. The 2 conference rooms can each seat groups of 20 people. There is a modern kitchen which can adequately deal with the requirements of the centre. It is equipped with full AV appliances.
There are a number of legal requirements which are required by the relevant insurance, statutory and church organisations. These include provision of public liability insurance, regulations for the use of the kitchen, safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults & general health & safety legislation. While these requirements are not laid down by the parish, it is the responsibility of the parish to ensure that they are adhered to for the protection of all parishioners and visitors.
The feed back from the users of the parish centre to date has been excellent.
